We are getting closer to finding our store site. At the same time, we are gearing up to launch our Community Investment Campaign. This is a huge undertaking to raise all the funds necessary to build out our store for a successful opening. While grants and commercial loans will provide a fair amount of our funding, another significant part of those funds will come from us, the owners of our food co-op. We will all have the chance to invest locally in our co-op through loans or preferred shares.
The Community Investment Circle is looking for many more co-op owners to join them. If you are retired, or between jobs, or just looking for a great way to make a difference, this opportunity could be just right for you. We will need a robust group (10-15) of folks to call all our owners before and during the campaign. This campaign will last about 4 months and be fairly intense for that duration, and you will be supported by our consultants all the way through.
