  • made many contacts, held many conversations and  heard many perspectives

2016 Improvements:
  • participation and involvement
  • more volunteers, retention and engagement
  • are we doing too much?

  • diversity needs to be better represented, stronger
  • sociocracy: education, better assessment (scheduled policy reviews), better use of process in meetings, plan training of new volunteers and member-owners, solve problems as a circle
  • Basecamp: better communications between circles, training for new volunteers and owners
  • own our work and let others own theirs
  • newsletter backup help
  • visibility tracking for initiatives (great ideas that are lost, implementing procedure to track them)

Priorities for 2017

Top Circle:  Collaboration with food co-ops nearby, use current grant money, board training

Diversity: Bolster diversity/reach out to all communities

Finance: Funding/grant partnerships, income accessibility/voice for all

Marketing: outreach and advocacy, grow membership

Membership: plan for membership growth, effectively engage volunteers
